Dr. Askari is co-founder of PHA. He is a cardiologist who attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and obtained residency training in Internal Medicine from the Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. Thereafter, he completed fellowship training in Cardiovascular Diseases at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio and remained there as a staff cardiologist.
While at the Cleveland Clinic, he also held the appointment of co-director of the cardiovascular medicine training program and co-director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Askari presently holds the academic rank of clinical associate professor of medicine at the Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Askari has authored several books and numerous research articles that have been published in prominent peer-reviewed medical journals. Dr. Askari has young-onset Parkinson’s disease.
Dr. Caldwell is an anesthesiologist who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He then obtained his medical school education followed by his residency training in Anesthesiology from The Ohio State University School of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Caldwell quickly distinguished himself as a world class physician / Anesthesiologist and was recognized by his peers by being elected to various leadership positions including the Medical Director of the Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence, the Division Director of the Department of Orthopedic Anesthesia at Riverside Methodist Hospital, the two-time President of the Midwest Physician Anesthesia Services (MPAS) and the current Medical Director of Anesthesia at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Dr. Caldwell has been a board-certified anesthesiologist since completing his training in 2001. His broad-ranging experiences make him an invaluable medical advocate.
Jamie E. Askari is the Managing Director of Premier Health Advocates, LLC. Jamie has been with PHA since its inception in 2010. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. In addition to her work at PHA, she volunteers her time for the Orange Area Service Committee. Jamie resides in Cleveland, Ohio with her husband and three children.
